Reboot

Hey guys, 

WoW! It's been a while since I saw this blog. Originally, I made Pages of Truth when I was a bit younger. It's both funny and embarrassing to look back at some of my old posts, but it reminded me of that spirit I once possessed. This spirit allowed me to share my passions without concern for criticism or fear of others' opinions. Like most teenagers, during this time between my first post and now, I have lost a lot of this spirit. I have felt a lot less comfortable with myself and less able to express myself in this forum. Looking back at the posts written by what seems like a different girl, I realize that I am still chasing that dream. The dream that I would be able to influence others and maybe recommend a book they loved, or share a funny meme that makes someone laugh hysterically. Since the time when I created this blog, the types of books and interests I've taken up have matured.  I feel that the person I am now is in an even better position to speak to other readers all over the world. As a result, I've decided I'm going to try to start posting again. Some people suggested I should just make a new blog and forget Pages of Truth. I understand why that would seem like a better option. The original title, posts, color scheme, etc. were all chosen by a child. But I also know that child is still a part of me. I don't want to erase the efforts I made when I was younger just because they were fitting for my age. Thus, you may notice the rest of this blog evolve to have a very different tone and likely deal with different content, but I assure you it's on par with the evolution of the author.

I know I've been missing out. Published on August 25th, 2015, and is 328 pages of an amazing read.      The events in this book take place in a small town called Lawton, Alabama. This book switches between the perspectives of two main characters... West and Maggie.      West is a golden boy. His father is suffering from cancer and the doctors are incapable of helping him. West can not talk to anyone. Only him, his mother, and his father know about his sickness. Of Poseidon Book Review

My rating: 7/10 stars Goodreads average rating: 4.05/5 stars Some spoilers throughout. Book Cover From reading some of the reviews for Of Poseidon, I can tell that people either loved or hated this book. It was published May 22, 2012. This means I am relatively late to the party for this book. However, I am completely thankful for the saying "better late than never" because I loved this book. I rated it a 7 because, while I enjoyed the world building that goes on, the author lets it take away from adding some depth to the character relationships.  Of Poseidon is 324 pages and the first book in The Syrena Legacy series. Mermaids have often been thought of as mythical creatures and this book  really  does a great job at making their existence seem possible. (My apologies for saying mermaids. They prefer to be referred to as Syrena). Something interesting in this book, as far as the writing goes, was the author’s use of perspective.
